Important Letter about TFC Finances

Dear TFC Supporters,
This is not an easy letter for me to write, but I desperately need your help.
As of April 26, the East Michigan Conference Ministry Leadership Team (MLT) initiated a new policy concerning Teens For Christ Ministries finances. There is now a deficit cap of $35,000 on the ministry. After TFC’s hits this cap, expenses will not be paid. Our deficit as of May 1st is a negative $31,115. The continued existence of TFC’s depends on our ability to raise funds to pay for our expenses. I have spoken with people before about the possibility that things may change significantly if we don’t raise more funding.
We understand our current deficit is unacceptable and this is not the way we desire to do ministry. We have become accustomed to a pattern where we fall $30,000-$40,000 in debt, do a large fundraiser, reset near zero, and then begin again. It is time to break this cycle.
Teens for Christ is very much a part of life change in students. God has been directing us to some incredibly exciting transitions in ministry that put students in significant ministry roles while they are still in high school! In the last month alone, I have participated in events where students led worship, created and directed dramas, gave testimonies, and preached. And I watched students lead students to Christ. God is not done with Teens For Christ, as is evidenced in new endeavors that are producing tremendous fruit in the lives of students.
I know you want to see this ministry continue for our kids and grandkids. Your support today will help ensure 1) The ministry continues to exist for future generations, and 2) The ministry leadership is able to focus on transitioning the ministry to be even more effective in reaching this generation’s students!
TFC’s is dependent upon the support of those who love this ministry and see the good it does in the lives of countless young people. We understand that this one time donation campaign will not fix our problems long term. In the upcoming weeks and months, we will also be promoting a campaign to raise monthly support giving to end the crippling debt cycle. But in order to keep this ministry running, we need your financial support immediately.
